OSF Years

I have been asked several times to share some of my theatre experience. I have played in the theatre from time to time; mixed into a long career in industrial management, design and teaching, Theatre first caught my eye in 1972.

I last worked in the theatre as an actor at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in 2002. While in Ashland Oregon, I also taught at Southern Oregon University and served as Technical Director for the SOU department productions.

I lost most of my career photos in a flood in 1997. Oregon Shakespeare Festival has provided me with photos of several of the plays I participated. The scenery elements in these photos I was largely responsible for building and installing them.. Stagecraft is a collective process involving many artisans and craftspeople. I spent seven years engineering, building and installing the scenery for seventy seven plays. It was a team effort and I am proud to have been a part. I am still grateful for the opportunity to have known and worked with the individuals in the OSF community.
